What problems specifically are you having? From your post I assume you got Python to work, so what is the issue?

I downloaded everything.
I enter a new campaign in ''terrain'' mode ...
I created my blank map and I saved it ...
But then I need to paste it somewhere using Python.
To actually start the new blank map I guess.
Im stuck there xD .

Ahhh you need to use the module builder. You can DL it off the taleworlds website. You need to add an entry for your new map in 3 different files, Module_scenes, Module_scripts and Module _strings. If you want to get on TS later I can show you exactly where to add them since you need to put the entries in specific locations. Once you add the entries you simply have to build the module then you will see your blank terrain coded map inside the game mode you put it in. Simply host a server, load up your map, enter edit mode and go at it!

Ok ....
Im stuck now again, elsewhere ! XD
Ive done the ''module_info.py'' change to my current module location :
C:/Program Files x(86)/Mount&Blade Warband/Modules/Mapping/
For the Build_module to work properly.
In the Native Module that I downloaded,
To check if that is O.K I need to run Build_Module.bat
But each time I do this I get multiples errors and I did'nt start to change files yet.
The error is : Permission Denied C:/Program Files x(86)/Mount&Blade Warband/Modules/Mapping/

So even if I change the files in :Modules_Strings etc id dosen't work because the Build_Module.bat
can't run properly ....
I even done the step that I need to access the Environement variable to add Python in the ''path'' .

I must be very bad Mad

Hmmm thats odd never encountered that error. Do you use windows 7? It might be a permissions issue.

It definetely is a permission issue. I have experienced the same after shifting my warband files around. I would advise you (at least this worked for me) to create a warband folder on the desktop and work with that. Win7 is rather annoying when it comes to permissions - I have tried to "unlock" folders several times only to have them relocked right after (i do have to admit that i didnt spend too much time researching on how to do it.).

Post  Agony on Fri Jun 17, 2011 11:36 pm

I figured it out XD !!!

I was trying to make
Module_scenes = agony_first
Module_strings = agony_first
Module_scenes = agony_first

But the Module_scene must be : scn_agony_first
That's the difference ...
I though they were supossed to all be the same but I guess not Razz
Thanks !

Doh! that makes complete sense now! Glad you figured it out. I can't wait to see what you conjure up with the map editor. Just remember to keep it in scope. Sometimes we get carried away and make HUGE maps and thats generally not good for a 60 player server Smile Also try to bear in mind flow, like where the people will go and what they will do. Sometimes its hard to judge that, but if you can find the obvious spots, try to decorate those spots a bit more. I always felt that really nice decorations immerses people into the map more, allowing them to enjoy it more. Good luck, and if you have any more questions feel free to ask. Also, once you get a map almost done or done, let me know I will host it and invite some people in so we can explore and give you feedback. cheers

Already a problem again !
I did'nt edit a map yet .... I got no more error with the build_module.
But I can't see my blank map name when I host a game in multiplayer mode.
Even if I made my scn_agony under Siege and not team Deathmatch....
No error and yet it dosen't even appear Sad

Well, I had something like that too (I went through all your problems as well, unfortunately it's only now that I've checked this forum). The reason was that I derped and didn't specify the Siege game type and, thus, didn't see the custom map show up. Another reason might be that you put the new map definitions in the wrong place in the module files -- did you follow the tutorials on Taleworlds?

A minor point, if you want the map to be played on one of the GK servers, Dave might ask you to change the name to "scn_multi_agony" in module_scenes and "multi_agony" in the rest.

If you have any more questions feel free to PM me on xfire or LoR forums.

Sounds like you are compiling to the wrong path. Did you make sure module_info is writing to the right place?

Yep I made sure both Module_info

is :
Spoiler:
export_dir = "C:/Users/Frank/Desktop/Mount&Blade Warband/Modules/AgonyMap"
#export_dir = "C:/Users/Frank/Desktop/Mount&Blade Warband/Modules/AgonyMap"

And I make sure that I select the ''Agony Map'' module when I lauch the game

Post  Agony on Sun Jun 19, 2011 11:47 pm

HAHAHA found the problem !!!
Now I can see my map In game !!!

The screen that I posted, all the AgonyMapscenes etc WAS where the build_module was exporting the files ....
I don't know why but I tryed and delete all the Agonymapscenes , by just deleted the Agonymap and keeping scenes... I copied it in the AgonyMap module and erase all the other files in it because it was the same name, so by doing this, my map appears and I can finally edit it Very Happy

Thanks for your support !
